This small project was a collaboration with a group of friend in Hong Kong. I just wanted to show each individual in uninhibited actions and reactions to our conversation. This piece was very laid back and casual it was not meant to be taken serious by anyone involved. I had set up a simple lighting situation and talked with everyone to bring out their unseen side. No matter the way we talked everyone had a certain reaction that photographed really well. I think this could be expanded further but for now it gives a more intimate feel with a tight knit group of friends and a smaller grouping all together. Pulling inspiration from Richard Avedon’s portraits I stuck with black and white and square format to give viewers no distraction to what they are seeing and solely view the people in a new way.
